Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) pays out £0.25bn to Icesave customers - 17th Nov 2008
UK customers of Icesave are starting to get their money back after the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) began making payments last week. By the end of Friday 14 November 2008, FSCS had initiated payments to the value of £0.25bn to UK Icesave customers.

Icesave customers to get their compensation within next five days - 13th Nov 2008
UK retail customers of the Icelandic bank Icesave, which was part of the Landsbanki, have received the second e mail to initiate the transfer of the money into their linked bank accounts.
The e mail asks the customers to log into their Icesave account, and then initiate the transfer. Customers with the fixed rate accounts have the option to keep the money where it is and wait for the fixed period to end. Once initiated, it will take five working days for the money to reach the nominated bank account.
